DEF-TECH Bharat is India’s international exhibition on aerospace, defence, and space technologies, focused on R&D, design, engineering, and manufacturing. Organised by New Delhi Print Media Pvt. Ltd., the 2027 edition will be held from 19 to 21 May 2027 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. The move to BIEC follows the 2026 edition at KTPO, Whitefield, and is aimed at accommodating growing exhibitor demand and visitor participation.
The show brings together OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, MSMEs, startups, R&D organisations, armed forces representatives, government stakeholders, and global technology providers. It places a strong emphasis on indigenous, AI-driven, and networked technologies, with areas such as C4ISR, aerospace and avionics, unmanned systems and drones, cyber and electronic warfare, homeland security, and manufacturing and materials.
DEF-TECH Bharat is supported by DefTech Con, a co-located technology conference scheduled for 20–21 May 2027. The 2026 edition featured more than 20 conference sessions and technical seminars on technology collaboration, innovation pathways, and future requirements. The Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), officially the IMTMA–Naoroji Pirojsha Godrej International Exhibition & Conference Centre, is one of South India’s largest exhibition venues. Developed and managed by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), it opened in 2007 and is located at 10th Mile, Tumkur Road, Madavara Post, Bengaluru.
The venue spans a campus of about 57 acres with five exhibition halls and around 77,200 sq. m. of covered exhibition space, supported by conference rooms, a food court, and parking for several thousand vehicles. Its large column-free halls are well suited to heavy equipment, large stands, and live technology demonstrations.
BIEC is located on the northern side of Bengaluru along Tumkur Road, with road connectivity to the city centre and Kempegowda International Airport. The nearest Green Line metro station, Nagasandra, is around 2 km away, and hotels in all categories are available within a short drive.
